"En el español jurídico", I see in which Spain utilizes "escrito de personación", which I don't item to (Even though 'escrito' might have distinct meanings, which I'll handle at the end of this write-up.) Nonetheless, I do think "personación" and "comparecencia" can be used interchangeably as long as the context implies
